CLIENT GOAL

Take Chex from a cereal to a holiday treat, that the consumer is able to gift or purchase for keepsake.

DESIGN CHALLENGE

Our challenge was to design a giftable package using graphic assets from a promotional cereal box and applying them to a totally new format and usage occasion for the cereal brand.  We hoped to provide consumers with a keepsake item they could use year after year.

DESIGN SOLUTION

The tin format is a popular one around the holidays, the material suggests a specific usage occasion that aligned with our key ask.  The belly band allowed us to highlight the product graphically, hold the regulatory information on back of pack and served as tamper evidence.
