Design a $5 gift for the Valentine’s Day micro-occasion: Teacher Gifting

DESIGN CHALLENGE

After conducting market research and gathering consumer insights for Valentine’s Day, we discovered a gap in the market around teacher gifting, opening an opportunity for Nestle to provide a unique offering.

DESIGN SOLUTION

WDG focused on leveraging the shape equity of the apple to deliver a container that also transforms into a serving dish. The result was a rigid, apple-shaped container designed so the top stem fits snug in the base revealing a beautiful candy display upon opening. The decorative dish is designed to sit on a pedestal and be displayed on the teacher’s desk or reused as a personal keepsake.
