creative werks, llc Joins AIM – Progress’ Forum for Sustainable Sourcing, Furthering Their Social Responsibility Goals

BENSENVILLE, Ill., July 15, 2014 – Marking another step toward their commitment to corporate citizenship, creative werks announced today their induction into AIM – Progress, a forum of top fast-moving consumer packaged good companies, which work toward building a more sustainable supply chain and establishing responsible sourcing best practices. creative werks is one of 38 member companies in AIM-Progress.

AIM-Progress devotes their efforts in four pillars: Human Rights & Labour Standards, Health & Safety, Environmental Compliance and Business Integrity.   These objectives are indicative of AIM-Progress’ mission and the core values of participating organizations.

Earlier this year creative werks inaugurated its Supplier Code of Conduct that includes standards, expectations and a shared commitment from suppliers, partners and creative werks associates. Each fiscal year suppliers and creative werks associates renew their commitment to the Supplier Code of Conduct. Beyond mere compliance, creative werks strives to improve the probity of the supply chain and encourages their partners to operate with moral stewardship and standards in every sphere of their businesses.

“Since our incorporation in 1999, creative werks has felt that promoting corporate citizenship is right and necessary to be a truly great business,” explains Steve Schroeder, creative werks founder and CEO. “Our responsibility as a business is to positively impact people’s lives and promote a healthy environment for our community. In every facet of our business, we do our work with high moral standards and with a mission always to improve and challenge the way we operate.”

Under creative werks’ Corporate Social Responsibility umbrella is their commitment to reduce their CO2 emissions by running on 100% wind energy and recycling hundreds of tons of operating waste. To improve working conditions, benefits and promote a safe and healthy work environment, the Temporary Workforce Enhancement Program (TWEP) was assembled in 2013. The program provides a platform for creative werks’ management and labor force to improve working conditions and collectively make creative werks a place where employees can grow their careers, develop professionally and be challenged.
